How to Help Those Impacted by the Los Angeles Wildfires
My heart grieves for and is with the thousands of Angelenos who have been affected by the devastating wildfires that have destroyed their lives and Los Angeles communities over the past week. I dearly hope that all readers of this newsletter are safe and were out of harms way. The utter devastation is just heartbreaking to see and read about, as in this horrifying YouTube video (and this is just the Eaton, one of four major fires).
Firefighters and first responders have been amazing, and always are amazing. So are the volunteers. It's beautiful to see people come together to help their neighbors in dire need. Although I reside in Los Angeles County, we are safe where we are, about thirty miles away from the fires. If you are like many other caring Americans, you want to help in some small way. I’ve provided here a small list of organizations, agencies, and individuals who could use your help. Thank you very much.
